1989: Born in Mississippi to immigrant parents from Singapore

2013: Worked as Marine Biologist in Hawaii - lived in Kalaupapa, former Leprosy Colony on Molokai for 3 years i fondly refer to as my monk years

2014: Founded ocean tech non-profit, The Hydrous

2015: Co-founded human connection company, Emerge, with a mission to build products that connect us from a distance through the sense of touch. Acquired in 2026 by a semiconductor company

2019: Married my wife, the most empathetic and beautiful human I know.

2025: Hardest year of suffering to date with wife’s failed endometriosis surgery > died > coma > ICU > brain tumor discovery (benign) > recovery (ongoing)

2026: We moved to Austin, TX, reconnecting with nature, meditating, calming the CNS. Practicing gratitude daily
